Everyday Life:
Our goal is to challenge and stretch your knowledge, technical experience, and skills to apply to EMI UK's project work in the developing world. By working alongside an experienced volunteer or staff member, we hope to push you further into creative but practical solutions to the work you will put your hands to.
You will join a 1 to 2 week EMI project team to experience first-hand the design challenges of the developing world. The remainder of the time is spent in one of the EMI offices around the world. Interns enable EMI to complete the project work on time, as a large portion of project work is completed by interns! Interns have varying responsibilities depending on discipline, education, and experience. All interns gain exposure to AutoCAD and the various design disciplines, as most eMi projects have at least 3 to 4 engineering disciplines represented. Our interns work closely with their assigned project leader and the various volunteers on the project trip. Most interns gain a more complete understanding of their specific projects.
Spiritual Life:
Our goal is to challenge and stretch your walk with God. You will grow by engaging in discipling relationships with office staff, involvement in a local church, serving our clients, and becoming part of the local community. We want to grow your vision for Kingdom service and help you take giant steps in your walk with God. |
